Ermias Negussie & Co. – Authorized Auditors a firm of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA- UK) is established on 1st November, 2009 to provide Auditing and Consultancy services focused on Auditing, Financial Management and Internal Control Systems.

The Managing Director was running an Accounting & Consultancy Firm before establishing the Audit Firm since 1st April, 2008. The Accounting & Consultancy firm was engaged in various assignments which includes the following. These were:

  • Accounts closing;
  • Accounting and Financial Management Systems design, development, upgrading and implementation;
  • Internal control system evaluation;
  • Development and installation of computerized Accounting System;
  • Tax planning and advices, (specializing in Value Added Tax (VAT));
  • Inventory management and cost accounting, and
  • Internal audit.

The Managing Partner of our firm is a Chartered Certified Accountant and is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA-UK) and also member of The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA –USA) and is undergoing a professional qualification scheme for Certified Internal Auditor (CIA-USA). He also has a BA-Degree from Addis Ababa University in Accounting and is in service for the last twenty two (22) years specializing in Auditing and Accounting & Financial Management Consultancy Services.

 

Our managing director was last employed in one of the big audit firms operational in Ethiopia serving a Senior Audit Manager position in addition to the previous two audit firms in the last fifteen years until he established his firm Ermias Negussie & Co. Authorized Accountants in April, 2008. During the said service periods he has been exposed to various complex accounting & financial management, internal control, and accounting information systems implemented in small to large scale companies and, therefore, is well familiar with the applicable legal and tax requirements operational in Ethiopia. In carrying out his professional practice he is well aware of the current professional standards and ethical issues. He is also involved in continues professional development activities to meet his professional carrier requirements. The other staffs are also part qualified accountants in the rigorous courses for a qualification of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA-UK) and also posses Degrees and Diplomas in Accounting and having the relevant experiences to undertake the accounting and financial management service.

In addition to the auditing and accounting services stated above, we will also prepare business plans to assist management in evaluation and control of company’s long-term business activities and to assess feasibility of projects and includes preparation of projected financial statements; Balance Sheet, Statement of Profit & Loss and Statement of Cash Flows.
